Marissa’s character development of Cinder is simply amazing. She is this cyborg but yet she has problems that the average person faces each day. The choices she makes are similar to what a person would actually do and is always proactive when she knows what she wants.

The world that is built for these wonderful characters is absolutely astounding. Every aspect of their world is like a mystery that readers will want to know why certain things are the way they are. While it is expected for book one to not uncover everything, Marissa does a wonderful job of keeping readers’ interest levels at peak at all times. A unique twist on a familiar story, equipped with astonishing writing, with unforgettable characters, Cinder is sure to be a must-read for any book lover.
