Lisa Orchard’s second book in the Super Spies series, The Super Spies and the High School Bomber, continues the story of sisters Sarah and Lacey. Sarah learns that her new school has been bombed, which also happens to be where her uncle Walt teaches. Her hopes of finding her uncle at school are halted when a fireman stops them. Wary of this action, she conducts her own investigations and soon finds herself in a heap of trouble with terrorists. She learns that the bombing might be connected with the disappearance of her parents and the bombers are determined to finish what they started.

There are mysteries within mysteries in this amazing story. One thing that readers will be dying to know is who have the bombers targeted? It was detonated at a public building with multiple people but Sarah and Lacey can’t help but think that their family is being targeted again. Author Lisa delivers a remarkable mystery that seamlessly continues the story in the series. The descriptions she provides sparks off many questions, theories, and likelihoods that it will have readers totally immersed from start to finish. The known characters continue to grow as readers learn more about their personalities. The friendship between Sarah and Jackie felt authentic as they both had a deep connection shown by how they are so loyal to each other. The writing style of Lisa is strong and highly descriptive. It is fluid-like and creates a smoothly written mystery rich in intrigued backed by a well-developed story. It had plenty of mystery with the right amount of action and adventure.

Lisa Orchard grew up loving books. Her debut novel “The Super Spies and the Cat Lady Killer,” is a suspenseful thriller about young girls thrust into a situation and the choices they make. The setting is Harrisburg, a small town in Michigan, much like the town where Lisa grew up. Many of her characters’ adventures stem from her exploits as a young teen. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Marketing Degree she spent many years in the insurance industry, pining to express her creative side. The decision to stay home with her children gave her the opportunity to follow her dream and become a writer. She currently resides in Rockford Michigan with her husband, Steve, and two wonderful boys. Currently, she’s working on the second novel that stars the same quirky teens, and she hopes to turn the Super Spies into a series.
