Book Nerd Interview
What’s one thing that readers would be surprised to find out about you?
I used to breakdance.
What was the greatest thing you learned at school?
I never actually did need to take calculus.
What do you feel is the most significant change since Shatter Me?
Juliette changes as a person – becomes stronger and more convicted. As she learns to find herself and her voice, the writing evolves and begins to stabilize. The prose, I think, is the best visual representation of the change Juliette experiences over the course of the trilogy.
You have the chance to give one piece of advice to your readers. What would it be?
Never stop reading.
What decade during the last century would you have chosen to be a teenager?
The 50s. For the fashion.
Where can readers stalk you?
On the internet!

it's almost
time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.
The sequel to Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Unravel Me, looks at Juliette’s escape to Omega Point. This place also serves as the headquarters of the rebel resistance and the home for gifted people like Juliette. She’s finally free from the grips of the Reestablishment and free to pursue her love Adam. However, her lethal touch will always be a part of her. Now Warner wants Juliette more than ever and she realizes that choices will be made that could possible change her life forever. She’s torn between the very things she wants in life and doing things that she believes is the right thing to do.
The war that is infusing between the Reestablishment and the citizens is boiling over and Omega Point is right in the middle of it all. Juliette must swiftly learn how to control and harness her power in order to aid the Resistance. Although many are relying on her to advance, she realizes that intense emotions play a heavy effect on her power. Her will and determination is very admirable as she always tries to be the better person, even if she had to fight to do so.
There’s always that talk about sequels just not living up to the original, however Tahereh manages to take the same elements from the first and shift the gears to hyperdrive and elevate the story plot. From the very beginning, readers will be compelled by the strong emotions that are poured onto this book. Tahereh’s writing is beautiful and takes readers through all the emotions known to mankind. The story will capture your heart and will never let go.
