Hmmm. That I never intended to be a writer maybe. I love books and I love to read, but writing was never on my radar. It wasn’t until I was 35 that I even tried putting words to paper.
What was the greatest thing you learned at school?
That you get out of it what you put in. Of course I can say that now, looking back, because I hated school and I never really put much effort into it.
Did you learn anything from writing the Fates Series and what was it?
Did you learn anything from writing the Fates Series and what was it?
I learned a ton on the technical end of writing. The FATES series was my first sale and having the opportunity to work with an editor showed me everything I was doing right and wrong. It was invaluable.
Which character have you enjoyed getting to know the most over the course of writing the Fates Series?

Jasmine. I think she changed and grew so much, found herself and found a confidence that I don’t think she knew she had.
What part of Luc did you enjoy writing the most?
What part of Luc did you enjoy writing the most?
I pretty much loved that he was doing EVERYTHING in his power to save the girl he loved. It’s romantic, right? A guy who will literally move time for you? J
What was the most surprising thing you learned in creating Corinthe?
What was the most surprising thing you learned in creating Corinthe?
That she wasn’t cold hearted and unaffected by living among humans. I like that she was taken by surprise by Luc and at the end of FATES I think everyone saw just how much she had grown.
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Like if I could pick anyone? I’d really love to sit down and pick the brain of Jennifer Armentrout. Not only is she an amazing writer across genres, but she makes it look effortless.

Follow your own path. Only you know what makes you happy, so never give up on your dreams.
What is your happiest childhood memory?
What is your happiest childhood memory?
When I got a pony. Her name was Magic and she was a pinto and she was SO beautiful. She was also very stubborn and loved to stop mid-ride and start grazing by the side of the road.

Do you remember your favorite teacher?
Mr. Razz. My 8th grade Science teacher. It wasn’t his class that I liked, but him. He was the nicest person and he let my friends and I sing in class. LOL We were Divas back then!!
Most horrifying dream you have ever had?
Most horrifying dream you have ever had?
My recurring nightmare is always about tornados. Usually they happen when things are a little out of control in my life, and that’s usually how I can tell!
Who was the last person you hugged?
Who was the last person you hugged?
My kids. I hug them every day before I leave for work.
They kissed only once—and it was electric, like the air before a storm. But Corinthe and Luc broke the rules of the universe, and learned too late that their love would have consequences. In the dizzying aftermath, Luc refuses to accept his destiny—not if it means a life without Corinthe. As a fire rages through the Crossroads that connect worlds, Luc must find a way to turn back time and save Corinthe once and for all.
Meanwhile, Luc's 15-year-old sister Jasmine starts to realize things are not as they seem when time begins stuttering, sending her everyday life in San Francisco spinning into chaos. She’s thrown into the path of Ford, a troubled soul with a secret past, who helps her unravel the mysterious threads that connect them all.
Two breathtaking romances interweave across time in this story of what lies on the other side of Fate, as both Jas and Luc discover the incredible lengths they will go for love.
