Star Wars in Anaheim

Star Wars Celebration, an event for which I’d been waiting for two long years finally arrived in Southern California taking the Anaheim Convention Center by storm. I have been a long time Star Wars fan, one of the few movies I was able to connect with as kid. Wanting to be just like Skywalker and learning the ways of the Force. When it was annouced that Celebration would be arriving so close to home, I had to make it a priority to attend this event for the love of all things from a Galaxy Far Far away.
The event kicked off as expected with JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy taking the main stage of the arena. Along with them came 3 of the new actors in the upcoming film: Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega. Excitement was at an all time high. If that were not enough the "Legacy" cast also took the stage: Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew. The sight of everyone together was amazing and it was definitely one of the best highlights from thos amazing 4 days. If Harrison Ford would have made an appearance, the arena would have never been able to contain itself. With all that they of course as expected Premiered the new Teaser for TFA, and I must say make me want to want to watch the movie even more!
Along with the movie panel, there were many other things to checkout. They had an exhibit to where you can see many of the new costumes from TFA, exclusive first hand preview of the new 'Battlefront' game, the preimere of the new season of 'Star Wars: Rebels', and an abundant amount of fan made interactive props that all Stars Wars fan could truly appreciate. As with most conventions lines are a common problem, especially when to comes taking a look at the exhibits and unfortunately when it comes to getting your hands on exclusive merchandise. A couple vendors and the actual Celebration store had a huge issue with crowd control. For the most part though, the convention floor itself was wide open, and you were able to move around freely to take everything in.
Overall the experience was unforgettable. It was great interacting with all of the Star Wars fans, and even a few of the Celebrities that made their way around. Not to mention all of the fantastic cosplays that everyone brought out. Everything from your favorite sith lords, stormtroopers, and Cosplay Mashups (a personal favorite of mine). It was nice to know that I am not alone when it comes to the Fandom that is Star Wars. I look forward to any other "Celebrations" in the future and reuniting with everyone there.
The next Star Wars Celebration will be in Europe at London's ExCel Center on July 15-17, 2016. Tickets are now available at www.starwarscelebration.com
