Do you remember a show called Dragon Ball Z? If so, Anime-Expo of 2015 was one you did not want to miss.
As a child, I remember waking up in the morning and turning on the TV to watch my favorite show, “Dragon Ball”. I have always wanted to meet some the characters on the show. Goku and Gohan being so humble, and yet so strong, prideful Vegeta and so many others that I looked up to. This year, that childhood dream of mine finally came true when I attended Anime-Expo of 2015!
The first thing I see as I enter the main lobby was a giant green blown up serpent. I was intrigued, so I walked up closer to get a better look and I stood there looking at it in awe. What I saw before me was a 40-50 foot Shenlong staring down at me and all the other participants that came to check out this year’s Anime-Expo. That was Shenlong granting everyone’s wish that was able to attend. The main theme this year was clearly Dragon Ball Z and I was loving every
second of it!
This year’s Anime-Expo featured some of the best cosplays worn by many talented cosplayers. League of Legends, Attack on Titan, Kill La Kill, Overwatch (which is the new upcoming Blizzard game soon to be released) and of course Dragon Ball Z were some of the more popular cosplays along with many more. Cosplayers from around the nation have come to check out this year’s AX. There were booths filled with amazing toys, panels from some of the most recognizable voice actors such as Sean Schemmel who plays as Goku and Christopher Sabat who voice acts Vegeta, and Funimation hosting the brand new premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ movie (which was amazing). All four days were filled with excitement and joy as I fan-girled at everything and everyone.
This is a year that I am definitely going to cherish and remember because not only was I able to attend Anime-Expo for the first time, but I was able to relive my childhood once again. Check out next year’s Anime-Expo and see for yourself. I’ll see you guys there!
