ReplyDeleteI am sure there is life on some other planet, but it may be just bacterial -- or is likely something so strange and different that it would take a long time for us to recognize one another as life.

I think that assuming we are the only life forms in the entire universe is the height of arrogance. Of course there is life on other planets. i don't think we will ever find it, though.

It's possible but I also think it's unlikely and that we would not want to meet any aliens if they did exist.

ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, YES, I DEFINITELY believe in extraterrestrials! In fact, I was discussing this issue with Mr. Spock the other day, and we agreed that most humans seem to be oblivious to the presence of Vulcans and Klingons on Terra (Earth). True, these alien races are usually rather unobtrusive because they use special protective shielding. However, they can be seen by those who are open to the possibility. All you have to do to contact one of them is to repeat several times, "The Federation Rules"! and they will quickly drop their shielding (if any of them are around, that is), and become visible to you. (Other phrases that work are, "Live long and prosper", and even "May the Force be with you". In this case, though, you have to have your light saber ready, because you might happen to come across one of Darth Vader's spies.)
