We all dressed as hobos! Dressing was fun, trick or treating was fun and knowing it was the last year we were young enough to participate was even fun!
ReplyDeleteFavorite memory was when my mom was still alive. I was about 11yrs old. She loved Halloween. She loved everything about it. Loved horror movies. She had made graves in yard with headstones and got a bunch of dry ice and she hid in one of the graves so when trick or treaters went bad she would reach out.

ReplyDeleteBest Halloween memory, 2 years ago I got a call one week before Halloween that there was a little girl, age 4 ready to be adopted! I dropped everything and ran to the orphanage. I got there the day before Halloween. She'd never had a Halloween, so I'd brought her a Princess Sofia costume and candy bucket. She was SO tickled to wear the princess dress, she didn't want to take it off! She didn't care anything for the candy, it was all about the dress! She even slept in it that night. Now, she has about 2 dozen of them, but every year she reminds me about how much she loved that dress.
